Family Fitness Warrior

Family Fitness Warrior ...
So initially I envisioned this becoming a blog about eating healthy, vegan meals, that even kids would eat, and getting healthy as a family.
I even signed up as a BeachBody Coach.  Really?  Me?  The girl who loves pizza and chocolate and never makes exercise a priority?  I hoped that being surrounded by people who were fit and healthy would magically make me the same way.  Well, it helped, as they are a wonderful and supportive group, but obviously I had some more work to do on myself!
Then recently I was listening to a Tony Robbins CD Fitness Warrior  about changing your beliefs to empowering beliefs.  This is the ONLY good thing about the two hours I spend in the car every day!  And I needed to dig down to figure out why I would be successful for a while on my nutrition and exercise program, then revert back to my old habits.
Tony had us list our old beliefs and then change them to new beliefs.  I wrote them down, then read them to myself over and over until they really began to resonate with me.  I did this for health and fitness, finances, relationships, and work and business.
Here is what I came up with: - Fitness Warrior
Old Belief:  I can’t lose weight.  My body is pre-genetically disposed to be overweight.
New Belief:  What I put into my body and how much I exercise absolutely affects my overall health and well being.  Genetics plays a small part but the final decision and outcome is directly controlled by me..Fitness Warrior .
Old Belief:  My diet and exercise program are punishment for all the bad decisions I’ve made over the years..Fitness Warrior .
New Belief:  I choose to put healthy, nutritious food into my body, and keep myself healthy with exercise.  I do this because I deserve better health and a better life.
Old Belief:  When I commit to a nutrition plan, there is never enough food to eat, and I will starve.
New Belief:  I have plenty of good, nutritious food to eat, and when I factor in my exercise, I have an abundance.  I can have anything I choose to eat.  I choose to eat foods that will nourish my body and keep me healthy and strong.
Old Belief:  When I’m having a bad day, something sweet will make me feel better.
New Belief:  When I’m having a bad day, eating junk will make me feel worse.  Taking a walk to clear my head will help me feel better..Fitness Warrior .
So I lost 5.4 lbs my first week after following these new beliefs.  And it was easier!  Instead of forcing myself to “Be healthy”, I was excited about the prospect of finally gaining control of my life once and for all.  And as far as becoming a Beach Body Coach (Scary for me!), it’s amazing how people have responded to me during my first few steps on this journey.  I’m still a work in progress, but I’m excited to be making progress!
